What to Expect

More and more organizations want to gain better insight into their OT networks, industrial systems, and communication patterns. With the rise in cyber threats and regulations such as NIS2, OT monitoring is becoming increasingly important. But how do you gain visibility into network traffic, identify anomalies, and ensure that a monitoring platform is properly configured and managed?

OTconnect offers two hands-on Malcolm training courses that teach participants how to monitor and secure OT networks using open-source technology. From discovering assets and analyzing network traffic to installing, configuring, and managing a complete Malcolm environment.

During the Malcolm OT Monitoring Introduction Training, participants are introduced to OT monitoring, dashboards, Arkime, and NetBox. In the Malcolm OT Administrator Training, we take an in-depth technical look at architecture, sensor placement, installation, configuration, and operational management.

Both courses combine theory with hands-on exercises in a realistic OT lab environment using industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC-UA, and Siemens S7. This allows participants to gain practical knowledge that can be immediately applied within their own OT environment. The courses are available both as individual sessions and as in-company training.
